Shirley Pulido

Shirley Pulido studied at Syracuse University, the University of Rochester, the Brooklyn Museum Art School and the Cooper Union in New York. A Fulbright Scholarship enabled Pulido to study at the Sorbonne and Le Grand Chaumier in 1957. She lived and worked in France for four years, and, with a deepening commitment to the Old Masters, developed her techniques in portraiture and still life. She eventually resumed her career in New York City, adding mural painting to her repertoire.
